On August 21, the NAI partnered with the MMA on a webinar titled The NAI Mobile Application Code: Extending Third-Party Compliance into the Mobile Ecosystem. This webinar discusses the basics of the NAI compliance program and how it will be adapted to the mobile environment, the most important provisions of the NAI Mobile Application Code, and how the NAI's mobile efforts fit with other industry initiatives.

NAI Releases Mobile Application Code

This morning, the NAI released the 2013 Mobile Application Code, which expands the NAI's self-regulatory program to cover data collected across mobile applications. The new guidelines are designed to bring the high standards of the 2013 NAI Code of Conduct to mobile devices while simultaneously providing ample flexibility for the still-young mobile ecosystem to develop.

Survey Says: 2013 is a Winning Year for Third Parties

Only half way through 2013, and it’s already been an exciting year of firsts for the NAI. We held our first annual Member Summit. We released the first draft of a mobile code for cross-app data collection, which we’ll finalize in the coming weeks. We also conducted our first annual member survey, and our members’ responses helped to shape the productive conversations and debates that made our Summit so successful.

US Internet Users Understand and Value Interest-Based Advertising, According to DAA Survey

Recently, the DAA announced the results of a poll that surveyed 1,000 US adults on their attitudes and opinions regarding online advertising and interest-based ads.  The survey findings indicate that US Internet users are becoming more savvy about Internet advertising and the massive amount of content it supports, and are largely comfortable with the value-for-value exchange that interest-based advertising represents.
